Nominal code numbers and standard names reflect common default chart-of-accounts conventions used across UK bookkeeping software, and are provided for general educational reference.

Nothing on this site constitutes accountancy, tax or legal advice. The VAT calculator and nominal codes glossary are general reference tools — your own chart of accounts, VAT treatment, and reporting obligations may differ, and you should check with a qualified accountant or HMRC directly for anything specific to your business.
